28 fires occurred in the last week in the TRNC

The Fire Department reported that 28 fires occurred in a week in the TRNC and warned everyone to be careful about the risk of fire.

In the written statement made by the Fire Brigade Directorate, it was stated that 28 fires and 6 special service incidents occurred in the TRNC during the period between October 4 and 10, and there were material damages as a result of the fires.

In the statement, as the possible causes of the fires; "Cigarette butts thrown on the roadsides and into the fields without extinguishing, negligence and carelessness, burning of the parked caravan by person or persons, fuel leaks, sparks falling from electrical wires, short circuits and other fires" were listed.

As for special service events; "Removal of the person who lost his life as a result of falling on the marbles loaded behind the van type vehicle, removing the dogs that fell into the well in 2 different places, and the rescue of the cats stuck on the roof of the construction in 2 different places by the Fire Brigades" was shown.

The total amount of damage caused by the fires was approximately 354.200 TL.
