President Ersin Tatar spoke on the 46th anniversary of the National Unity Party (UBP).

"I'm supposed to be impartial, but can one hide what's in one's own soul?" President Tatar started his speech by saying that, stating that he set out as a Member of Parliament and addressed as the 5th President, he thanked the members of the UBP.

Tatar invited everyone to unity and solidarity regarding the congress and noted that the service to the country should continue.

Tatar stated that for an agreement based on sovereign equality, there is a need for a strong UBP that believes in this in the TRNC.

"I WANT WHAT IS THE BEST FOR OUR COUNTRY"

Tatar said that he felt sorry for the parliament, that the date of February 6 was discussed for the early elections, but that the opposition about the election bans was stressing, "I want what is best for our country."

Tatar said, "It is the duty of a president to make all kinds of evaluations together with the deputies governing the country."

Noting that he visited various regions of Turkey as long as he received an invitation to improve his contacts with Turkey, Tatar said, "Unfortunately, some circles are very uncomfortable with this because they cannot do what we do."

Tatar said, "There are some people, the size of the fingers of a hand. A country may not allow visits for their own security reasons. There is nothing we can do. This is the decision of that state. "Tufan Erhürman is trying to draw me into this issue with his statements. This is a big mistake. Erhürman tries to protect them and behaves in a way that does not comply with the political procedure," he said.

Stating that the CTP made a statement about him as "he was chosen by Turkey" in this context, Tatar said, "It is an insult to all of us, to the UBP, to present me in this way."
