Mayor of İnönü Ali Öncü: Local governments have been abandoned

Mayor of İnönü, Ali Öncü, made a statement to the Cyprus Post and evaluated the last point reached by the municipalities.

“WE HAVE NEVER SUPPORTED BY THE GOVERNMENT”

Öncü said, “Local governments have been abandoned,” adding that they were left to their fate and that they received no support from the government. Öncü, who stated that they only saved the month due to the financial problems they experienced, stated that they could not meet their expenses. Reminding that their own budgets were not increased, Öncü said, “Everything I used was increased. Our main problem is that our incomes do not increase,” he said.

Öncü stated that they talked face-to-face with the people within the borders of the municipality and tried to solve the problems in a way, and stated that it has not rained yet this year, there is a drought and this problem makes the people of the region think.
