The consumer price index, which is considered an indicator for inflation, increased by 5.52 percent in November.

Statistical Institute announced that there was a 5.52 percent change in the Consumer Prices General Index for November compared to the previous month.

According to the November 2021 results of the consumer price index published by the Statistical Institute, there was a change of 5.52 percent compared to the previous month, 26.86 percent compared to December of the previous year and 27.39 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the statement, it was stated that the highest increase compared to the previous month in terms of main expenditure groups was in the transportation main group with 10.07 percent, “9.56% in the main group of Clothing and Shoes, 7.78% in the main group of Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, 6.70% in the main group of Communications, in the main group of Miscellaneous Goods and Services. 5.68% in the Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels main group, 4.58% in the Furniture, Home Appliances and Home Care Services main group, 3.60% in the Health main group, 2.80% in the Health main group, 2.39% in the Education main group, and 2.39% in the Entertainment and Culture main group. 2.00, 1.56% in the main group of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, 0.59% in the main group of Restaurants and Hotels.

RECORD IN CUCUMBER, COTTON FABRIC AND CHARLISTON PEPPER

In the statement, while it was recorded that the average prices of 514 items included in the index increased and the average prices of 50 items decreased compared to the previous month, the first three goods with the highest price increase were shown as cucumber, cotton fabric and green pepper. Accordingly, compared to the previous month, cucumber prices increased by 239.99 percent, cotton fabrics increased by 92.70 percent and green peppers increased by 84.38 percent.

In the statement, the first three goods with the highest price decrease are; 43.08 percent white cabbage, 37.68 percent broccoli and 33.08 percent dry onion were recorded.

It was stated that unleaded 95 Octane gasoline increased 13.48 percent compared to the previous month and 54.80 percent compared to the previous year.
