National Unity Party (UBP) Deputy and candidate Hasan Taçoy answered questions as a guest in the program called "Morning Post", prepared and presented by Gökhan Altıner, broadcast on Kıbrıs Postası TV.

“UBP VISITS THE 35 PERCENT BAND”

Noting that it would be difficult to make an election under the current conditions, Taçoy stated that UBP is the ruling party. Taçoy said that his party is in the 35 percent band, and if it gains a little more momentum, his party can go to a position to catch the power on its own.

Taçoy stated that despite the political inactivity and silence, the success of UBP is the success of the party, not the success of the individual. Addressing the citizens as "Your vote is very valuable", Taçoy said that two years later, the votes should be united under the UBP, which may come into power, so that another election and chaos do not occur.

“THE PEOPLE WANT A BROAD BASED STRUCTURE THINKING THE COUNTRY”

Explaining that the people gave the right to the UBP and CTP to be in power, Taçoy said, "People want a broad-based structure that thinks about the country." Taçoy stated that there cannot be a coalition of CTP and UBP, and Chairman Faiz Sucuoğlu will come out first in every way, and said, "The chairman is the future of this party."

“IF I WAS SECRETARY GENERAL, WE WOULD TALK ABOUT BRAND 40 AND OVER, NOT 35”

Explaining that the office of general secretariat, which you also assumed before, is the most important office, Taçoy said, “Being the Prime Minister was not important. At this party, we were going to talk about 40 bands and above, not 35 bands," he said.

“WE MUST PUT RATIONAL POLICIES”

Evaluating the relations with Turkey, Taçoy stated that rational policies should be put forward and stated that the Turkish Cypriots do not have any other door opening to the world apart from Turkey.

Stating that the problems experienced should be explained to Turkey, Taçoy noted that the use of TL caused a gap between the two sides and that the use of TL should be tied to some criteria.

“I DON'T SEE THE PRIME MINISTER AS AN COMPETITOR”

Hasan Taçoy, who also spoke about his party, stated that Prime Minister and UBP Chairman Faiz Sucuoğlu claimed that he had won the open election, therefore, he should not see himself as a rival within the party. Taçoy said, “I do not see the Prime Minister as a competitor. Now he is our president,” he said.

“I THOUGHT TO LEFT POLITICS”

Expressing that his party is also considering quitting politics after the presidential race, Taçoy said, “I have been a straight deputy for 23 years. I did not request a ministry without a ministry claim. "The general secretariat and the district presidency are always important to me," he said.

Taçoy also said that if there is no recovery in UBP, a lot can change after 1 year and said, "Let them receive some messages and act accordingly."
