Cyprus Turkish Contemporary Public Vehicles Operators Association (Kar-İş) President Fuat Topaloğlu made a statement to the Cyprus Post after the meeting at the Prime Ministry.

Announcing that the action was suspended until Friday, Topaloğlu said, “We had a busy and difficult day... We thank all the members who supported the action. There was a 90 percent participation in the action," he said.

Stating that the action was concluded successfully, Topaloğlu also stated that a price adjustment was made.

Noting that Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu said that the issue of discounted diesel will be finalized by Friday, Topaloğlu said, “Public transporters should continue to adjust prices without hitting the roads and without making anyone suffer. “This structure cannot be sustained,” he said.

With the suspension of the action, public transportation will continue.
