Mine Atlı, Chairman of the Communal Democracy Party (TDP), made a press statement at the party headquarters after giving a statement to the police upon the complaint of President Tatar. During the press statement, Atlı was accompanied by his general secretary Nevzat Özkunt and other officials.

Atlı said that he gave a statement to the police after President Ersin Tatar's complaint, that the case was not read, but the file was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office.

Arguing that the violation of the right to freedom of expression started with the search of the police, Atlı described this as a "self-control" practice.

Stating that the higher the rank, the tolerance should increase and the criticism should be accepted as normal.

Stating, "We will continue to say everything we say," Atlı stated that if a lawsuit is filed, the "treason" article in the Constitution, which is an embarrassment, will also be discussed and said, "We are not afraid, we are not scared".

In response to the question, Atlı said that he did not know and did not respect Tatar, and argued that the will of the Turkish Cypriot people was usurped in my Presidential elections, that the will of the Turkish Cypriot people was allowed to be usurped, and that what is happening today is a continuation of that. She said, "We will continue to fight."

Stating that what happened would not be digested, and that what happened today would not have happened if the public showed the necessary reaction, Atlı said, "The issue is not ideological, it is our existence, the existence of the Turkish Cypriot people is under attack," she said.
