While public finances increase, the people are getting poorer

Erkan Okandan, one of the former bureaucrats, touched on a very important issue in his statement on his social media account. Underlining that inflation is also a tax, Okandan noted that public revenues increased due to indirect taxes with the contribution of high inflation, that is, through unfair taxes.

"PUBLIC OFFICIALS ARE ALSO NEGATIVELY AFFECTED"

Stating that there is a positive situation in terms of increase in revenues in terms of public finances, Okandan stated that the purchasing power of the minimum wage has decreased, and that the low-income and, so to speak, public servants who are under the scope of Law No. 47/2010, are also negatively affected.

"IMMEDIATE IMPLEMENTATION OF TAX REFORM MUST BE PERCEIVED"

Sharing figures on the subject, Okandan said, "At the current stage, whoever will form the government in this country, no matter who will form the government so that such issues can be addressed a little. It should be perceived that a very serious tax reform should be implemented urgently in this country." Okandan underlined that all wage earners, from the minimum wage to the low-income to the civil servant, are struggling with indirect taxes, naturally with high inflation.

Okandan said: "Turn your face to the North and look at what those who are the main cause of inflation are doing in their own country. Even if you say, 'But they have a banknote printing house, we don't,' don't hesitate to come out and tell the truth to this community."
