Economic Organizations Platform: We condemn the banners and slogans in action

A written statement was made by the Economic Organizations Platform (EÖP), and it was announced that the banners carried and the slogans chanted in yesterday's protest were condemned.

“It is a fact that our country is going through difficult times. With the pandemic, the economic crisis that followed, and Russia's attack on Ukraine, conditions have become difficult in our country as well as in the rest of the world.

In the statement, which was called "We will overcome these difficult days with solidarity without any discrimination," the statement said, "In such a period, we need to stay away from rhetoric and actions that incite hatred, are incompatible with the political realities of the country, and have nothing to do with the struggle for existence put forward by the Turkish Cypriots."
