The 500 thousandth visitor was Sevgi Işık.
Gazimağusa Mayor İsmail Arter greeted Sevgi Işık at the entrance gate and presented her with a plaque and bouquet.
Mayor Arter stated that the number of visitors in the last 600 days has reached 500 thousand and reiterated his hope that the partial opening of Maraş would be beneficial for the Cyprus negotiations process.
Ms. Işık for her part said that she came to visit Maraş for the second time and was glad that it had been opened.
Maraş, which was opened to visitors on October 7, 2020, has been visited by more than 500 thousand locals and foreigners so far.
