Parliament to vote on Özersay’s resignation
A vote is set to take place in parliament to approve the leader of the People’s Party, Lefkoşa MP Kudret Özersay’s resignation from parliament.
An absolute majority of the MPs attending the session will be required for Özersay’s resignation to be accepted.
While the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and the Rebirth Party have both stated that they will respect Özersay’s decision, voting for the approval of his resignation, the National Unity Party (UBP) and the Democrat Party (DP) will make up thier minds when the voting takes place.
