A statement issued by the chamber said that trade with the TRNC which stood at around $1bn before the pandemic had now reached $1.4bn.

Evaluating President Ersin Tatar’s recent visit with a written statement, the Ankara Chamber of Commerce said it was working hard to further expand trade and other commercial ties with the TRNC.

He said their chamber was in regular contact with their Turkish Cypriot counterparts, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.

The President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors Gürsel Baran said, “A TRNC with a strong economy and commercial ties is our joint desire. We are always ready to cooperate with our Turkish Cypriot brethren. We can only overcome the injustices being committed against the TRNC by improving trade.”
