Turkish Ministry of National Defence issues message to commemorate martyrs
The Turkish Ministry of National Defence shared a message in line with the anniversary of the Peace Operation via social media.
The codeword “Ayşe should go on vacation” was highlighted in the message during which the martyrs were also remembered.
The Turkish Ministry of National Defence issued a message on the 48th anniversary of the Second Peace Operation in Cyprus that was launched with the code word “Ayşe should go on vacation.”
The ministry commemorated the Turkish soldiers, the Mehmetçiks and their compatriots, who were martyred in the operation, via social media.
In its post, it said, “We are one with our army and nation, we die for the country without thinking twice, we are the great Turks who fight for peace and our history is full of victories. Our heroic forces launched the Second Peace Operation 48 years ago today, with the slogan “Ayşe go on vacation”. With this operation, the terrorists who committed barbaric cruelty and torture against the Turkish Cypriots sought to flee as our forces advanced. We commemorate our soldiers who were martyred on the anniversary of the operation and all our kinsmen with gratitude”.
