It was announced that 10 mountaineering students lost their lives and 11 students were missing as a result of an avalanche in the Indian part of the Himalayas.

Kumar stated that 8 mountaineers were rescued and treated, and shared the information that search and rescue efforts continue.

Press Truth India website announced that 10 climbers were killed and 11 climbers were missing.

International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation official Amit Chowdhary said: "This is the first time in the history of Indian mountaineering that such a large group of mountaineering trainees have died in an avalanche." made a statement.

The Prime Minister of Uttarakhand state, Pushkar Singh Dhami, stated that the National Disaster Response Force and the Indian army have deployed teams to assist the rescue efforts.
