According to reports in the French press, quarantine for poultry was announced throughout the country after the regions of Brittany, the main center of poultry farming, Pays de Loire and Deux-Sèvres, due to the high level of the avian flu epidemic.

Authorities raised the risk of an epidemic from the "initial" level to the "medium" degree at the beginning of October, while the epidemic was updated to the next level of "high" with the onset of autumn, when birds enter the migration period and seasonal temperatures fall.

The authorities said that farmers are in a difficult situation and egg production has significantly decreased.

On the other hand, studies have been initiated to make vaccines that are in the trial phase in Europe.

November May last year in the ongoing avian flu outbreaks in the country, more than 21 million poultry had been culled.
