The first of the 'Elim Sende' events for earthquake-affected children was held in Güzelyurt

The first of the series of events called 'Elim Sende', organized for earthquake victims under the auspices of the Nicosia Embassy of Turkey, in cooperation with the Cyprus Foundations Administration, Evkaf Goodness Volunteers and Yunus Emre Institute, was held in Güzelyurt today.

The event, which took place in the monastery courtyard in Güzelyurt, was held between 14.00-17.00.
Face painting, workshops and various street games were organized for children at the event. Various foods were served to the children, and gifts were distributed by President Ersin Tatar and Turkey's Ambassador to Nicosia Metin Feyzioğlu.
President Tatar underlined that many earthquake victims are hosted in the country and tried to be balm for their wounds, and emphasized that the people of the TRNC always stand by the Republic of Turkey.
Metin Feyzioğlu, Turkey's Ambassador to Nicosia, also thanked the Turkish Cypriot people who embraced the earthquake victims in this difficult time.
President Ersin Tatar and Turkey's Ambassador to Nicosia Metin Feyzioğlu as well as Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar and Cyprus Foundations Administration General Manager İbrahim Benter attended the event.

TATAR

Speaking to BRT about the event, President Ersin Tatar thanked those who contributed to this event, which was organized so that the children coming from the earthquake regions after 6 February could have some happiness.
Tatar said that he participated in the event to be with the children and to make them feel that they are not alone.
President Tatar underlined that many earthquake victims are hosted in the country and tried to be balm for their wounds, and emphasized that the people of the TRNC always stand by the Republic of Turkey.
Pointing out that the TRNC people also suffered greatly due to the losses in the earthquake, President Tatar stated that these pains will never be forgotten.

FEYZİOĞLU

Turkey's Ambassador to Nicosia Metin Feyzioğlu also emphasized that although the event was held for earthquake-affected children, the theme was not an earthquake, but to make earthquake-affected children and families forget about the earthquake for a while.
Noting that they saw that the children were very happy at the event, Feyzioğlu thanked the Turkish Cypriot people for embracing the earthquake victims in these difficult times.

OZCINAR

Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar also pointed out the importance of taking care of the children and families of earthquake victims and sharing their pain, and said that they supported the efforts to heal the wounds and contribute to the return of life to normal.

TOMORROW IN NICOSIA

“My Hand is in You” event will be held tomorrow at Nicosia Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, at Famagusta EMU on March 18, and at Girne Peace Park on March 19 between 14.00-17.00.
