Traffic Controls Result in 2,120 Vehicle Checks and 2 Driver Arrests
The police conducted traffic controls across the country yesterday. According to a statement from the Police Press Office, a total of 2,120 vehicle drivers were checked during the traffic controls.
As a result of these checks, 387 drivers were reported for various traffic offenses, including 148 for exceeding the legal speed limit, 36 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 2 for driving without a license, and 71 for using a mobile phone while driving. Additionally, 2 drivers were arrested, and 63 vehicles were taken off the road.
