School Year Ends On Monday: 57,500 Students To Receive Reports In TRNC
In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, 57,514 students and approximately 6,500 teachers will begin their summer break after receiving report cards on Monday, June 15, as the 2025–2026 academic year comes to an end.
The academic year, which began on September 15, 2025, is now concluding in schools affiliated with the Primary Education, General Secondary Education and Vocational Technical Education departments.
Students across public and private schools will receive their report cards and completion certificates on June 15, officially marking the start of the summer holiday for both students and teachers. The new academic year is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 14, when classes will resume for the 2026–2027 school year.
According to the academic calendar, make-up and resit examinations for secondary education students will be held between June 16 and June 19.
Data from the Ministry of National Education shows that 27,481 students are enrolled in 132 primary schools, 25,188 students in 49 general secondary schools, and 4,045 students in 13 vocational and technical schools. In addition, approximately 800 students attend apprenticeship and adult education centres.
High School Entrance And Placement Exams Scheduled
Entrance examinations for Bülent Ecevit Anatolian High School and 20 July Science High School will be held on June 20.
Applications for vocational high school programmes will be accepted between June 17 and June 23, with placement results to be announced on June 24.
Entrance examinations for Lefkoşa Anatolian Fine Arts High School will take place between June 24 and June 26.
