According to NBC News, advisers to Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign are working on the content of the first Twitter messages that Trump will share.

Twitter was banned after Congress pressured Trump. However, after billionaire Elon Musk took over the company, he was allowed to return to the platform.

"Trump may return to Twitter," he said of his private conversations with Trump about returning to the platform, provided a name from the Republican wing remains anonymous.

Facebook, on the other hand, announced that during the ban imposed on Trump in January 2021, the situation would be reviewed two years later.

The social media giant stated that at the time of the ban, Trump would only be allowed to return to the platform if the "risk to public safety" had disappeared.

The letter written to Meta by Trump's team included the following statements:

"We believe that the ban on President Trump's Facebook account significantly distorts and hinders public discourse."

Noting the importance of free speech, campaign officials petitioned Meta to "convene a meeting to discuss the immediate reinstatement of Trump's account."

While Meta did not comment on the subject, it was noted that the company will "announce a decision on the process in the coming weeks".
