New record from dollar: 9.20 TL!

The dollar, which started the day with an upward movement from the level of 9.15, continued its rise during the day and reached its historical peak of 9.20.
Central Bank Vice Presidents Semih Tumen and Uğur Namık Küçük and Monetary Policy Board (PPK) Member Abdullah Yavaş were dismissed with the decision published in the Official Gazette. BRSA Deputy Chairman Taha Çakmak took the vacant Central Bank Vice Presidency seat. Yusuf Tuna was appointed as PPK Member.
After this decision, the expectation that an interest rate cut would be made at the Central Bank Monetary Policy Committee Meeting on October 21 increased.
With the publication of the decision, the dollar rose rapidly from 9.09 to 9.18 lira last night.
This morning, the dollar was withdrawn to 9.14 liras. After the market close, it saw its new historical peak by exceeding 9.20 liras around 20:45. The daily rise in Dollar / TL exceeded 1 percent.
