The superyacht owned by Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko is now moored off the coast of Pernera in Protaras, in the Paralimni region of Cyprus.

Melnichenko, 49, who owns fertilizer producer EuroChem Group and coal power company Suek, is said to be worth $19.8 billion, making him the 95th richest man in the world and 7th richest man in Russia, according to Forbes.

Sailing Yacht A, designed by Phillipe Starck and sailing under the Bermuda flag, was delivered in 2017 and is the largest and most controversial of the Starck yachts with its futuristic design, according to yacht watchers. It is said to cost $600 million.

The Russian billionaire's 142-metre Sailing Yacht A is the second yacht created by the same designer for Melnichenk.

Sailing Yacht A has eight decks with an underwater observation deck in the bow.

According to some reports, the 142-meter yacht has three different masts that are longer than the Statue of Liberty.

The yacht, which also includes a swimming pool and a small discotheque, was named 'A' for short, after the billionaire businessman's wife, Aleksandra.
