Ayşegül Baybars: The items in the budget were not used correctly

People's Party (HP) Deputy Ayşegül Baybars answered questions as a guest on the program called "Sabah Post" broadcast on Cyprus Post TV.

“MINIMUM FEE IS SERIOUSLY NOT ENOUGH”

Pointing out that the main source of problems for the last year is the economy, purchasing power and livelihood, Baybars said that the minimum wage is not seriously enough, people's incomes and expenses are not equal, but there are also formulas for this.

“WE PREVENTED FUEL UPGRADE FOR A LONG TIME”

Reminding the economic crisis in 2018, Baybars stated that at that time, with the Price Stabilization Fund (FIF), they prevented the hikes that were not related to them.

Baybars said, “If the FIF is used for the right purposes, a fuel hike may not be made. When we took office, the fund was empty. Afterwards, we collected the fund within 1-2 months and prevented the fuel increase for a very long time by using the fund.”

“THE BUDGET ITEMS AND THE MONEY IN THE FUNDAMENT ARE NOT USED CORRECTLY”

Underlining that the finance did not give them clear information, Baybars said, "As far as I understand, they have exceeded so many savings measures, this money has been used in favor of individual interests, not in favor of society."

Baybars, who stated that there were constantly wrong tenders and crooked contracted employment, said, "The items in the budget and the money in the fund could not be used correctly."

“THE CRISES ARE MONETARY SOURCED”

Expressing that there were many crises during the minority government period, Baybars emphasized that the crises experienced were of monetary origin.

Stating that budget savings are very important, Baybars pointed out when they were in government during the pandemic period, and reminded that "We transferred all unnecessary items in our own ministry budgets to the coronavirus fight fund".

Referring to the drug problem, Baybars emphasized that besides the problem of living, there are also vital problems.

“GOVERNMENT IS IMPOSSIBLE AND INCREDIBLE”

Baybars said that governments are sloppy and shortsighted, and money is not spent in the right place. Giving examples from the 2018 period when they were also in government, Baybars said, "We had taken all the expenses of the institution on the subject of the electricity hike in Kıb-Tek, and we prevented that hike and had it registered in the state's treasury."

Explaining that the mandatory needs come to the country through imports in foreign currency, Baybars said, "We implemented the customs duties on a fixed exchange rate and reduced VAT on consumer goods."

“LIKE PEOPLE IN THE COUNTRY DUMP AND EAT POMEGRANATE SOUR ON WAFERS”

Referring to the zeroing of VAT on wafers and pomegranate syrup, Baybars criticized the government and said, “It is as if people in the country pour pomegranate syrup on the wafer and eat it. "Making fun of society needs to be stopped," he said.

HP Deputy Baybars, who also spoke about the depreciation of TL, stated that the right dialogue should be established with Turkey and that the loss in the exchange rate increase due to the use of TL should be demanded.

“CHOICE IS NECESSARY TO SOLVE LIVING PROBLEM”

HP Deputy Ayşegül Baybars stated that they knew that the main problem of the country was livelihood and said, "This election is essential and necessary to solve the livelihood problem."

Noting that different political parties use citizenship for 'political rent', Baybars said, "As HP, we do not give citizenship to people. It is people's legal right. We are handing over their rights to those people within the framework of their legal rights.”

“HP WILL BE THE 'KEY' ROLE IN THE GOVERNMENT ESTABLISHMENT”

Stating that they have achieved a synergy that can meet with the society, common mind and common ground for the last year, Baybars said, "HP will play a key role in the establishment of the government."
