In the eco-village Büyükkonuk, the young generation is almost forced to migrate.

Village youth, who have been struggling with impossibilities due to the lack of rural land in Büyükkonuk for over 15 years, find the solution to migrate from their beloved villages.

Speaking to the Cyprus Post, Büyükkonuk Muhtar Mustafa Doğan stated that the rural plots distributed in almost every village had not been given in Büyükkonuk since 2003-2004.

Stating that the young people who are having financial difficulties due to unemployment in the region, they have to migrate from their villages even if they don't want to, Doğan stated that rural land is a bit of support for the young people who are trying to build a future.

Doğan stated that 50-60 young people are waiting for rural land in Büyükkonuk. Stating that there has been no development for years despite repeated requests, Doğan noted that young people who love their villages and do not want to flee are forced to migrate due to lack of interest.
