While a person in the vehicle as a passenger died at the scene, 2 injured people who were taken to the hospital could not be saved despite all the interventions.

On 02.06.2022, at 00:40, 22-year-old Mohamed Abdalla Mohamed Abuzied, who was driving the saloon car with license plate KY 976 along the Kyrenia-Nicosia main road in the direction of Nicosia, approached the northern ring road junction on the road he was driving, and lost control of the steering wheel as a result of his carelessness. somehow he got off the road on the left of the road and hit the barriers. The vehicle, which was thrown uncontrollably to the right of the road with the effect of the collision, crashed into the concrete median that separates the going and coming of the road.

As a result of the accident, 22-year-old Sara Abdulkafir, a resident of Nicosia, who was a passenger in the vehicle with license plate KY 976, died at the scene.

23-year-old Marwan Baderelden, a resident in Nicosia, who was a passenger in the same vehicle, was taken to Nicosia Dr. Despite all the interventions in Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, he could not be saved and died.

Another person, who was also a passenger in the same vehicle, Hassan Awad Hassan Elawad, 22, a resident of Nicosia, was observed in the intensive care unit after his treatment.

The driver of the vehicle, Mohamed Abdalla Mohamed Abuzied, was arrested after undergoing a health check.
