Çınarlı Martyrs commemorated today with a ceremony
The Martyrs of the Çınarlı village were remembered with a ceremony this morning at the Çınarlı Martyrs’ cemetery.

Wreaths were laid, a minutes silence was observed and shots were fired in tribute to the martyrs.
The flags were raised to the national anthem.
The Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre who paid tribute to the martyrs reminded that these days had been reached as a result of great sorrow.
“We live independent in our country under our flag. Turkish soldiers and our mujahids were on duty shoulder to shoulder. Our flag will never come down” Töre stressed.
Stating that the Turkish Cypriot side desired a solution on the island, he however noted that this will not be possible through sacrificing the country, jeopardizing the future generations and leaving them unsecured.
The Parliamentary Speaker Töre also stressed that the Turkish Cypriot people will continue its existence on the island.
