Turkish FM Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will arrive in TRNC on Saturday

The Cyprus Issue and the Maraş initiative is said to be on Çavuşoğlu’s agenda.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will be arriving in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on Saturday evening for a series of contacts.

During his two-day visit to the TRNC, Çavuşoğlu will be received separately by President Ersin Tatar and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertığruloğlu will also be holding a face-to-face meeting followed by a meeting of the delegations of the two countries.

Ertuğruloğlu and Çavuşoğlu are also expected to hold a joint press conference.

The Turkish foreign minister will also be attending several events being organized in the TRNC.

Speaking to BRT on Çavuşoğlu’s visit, Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu said that the Cyprus issue, the Maraş initiative, bilateral relations and cooperation between their respective ministries will be on the agenda of the meeting with his Turkish counterpart.

Çavuşoğlu is expected to depart for Türkiye on Monday.
