It was determined that there was an increase of 9.54 percent compared to the previous month, 56.76 percent compared to December of the previous year and 110.42 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, in the General Index of Consumer Prices for the 2015=100 Base Year, published by the institution every month.

In terms of main expenditure groups, the highest increase was observed in the main group of "transportation" with 21.68 percent compared to the previous month. 15.28 percent in the "Restaurants and Hotels" main group, 7.79 percent in the "Various Goods and Services" main group, 7.66 percent in the "Entertainment and Culture" main group, 7.33 percent in the "Clothing and Shoes" main group, "Furniture, Home Appliances and Home Care Services". In the main group, there was an increase of 6.79 percent.

5.89 percent in the "Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels" group, 4.94 percent in the "Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages" group, 4.30 percent in the "Communication" group, 3.98 percent in the "Education" group, 3.13 percent in the "Health" group, and Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco” group increased by 0.70 percent.

AVERAGE PRICES OF 562 ITEMS HAVE INCREASED

Compared to the previous month, the average prices of 562 items in the index increased, while the average prices of 32 items decreased.

The first three goods with the highest price increase were Lemon 182.95 percent, Wood Fee 83.33 percent and Vaccine Purchase Fee (For Pets) of 74.98 percent.
