Tender for new Girne Hospital launched

Altuğra pointed out that the current hospital was insufficient to meet the needs of the city’s growing population.

After years of delays and wrangling, Health Minister İzlem Gürçağ announced on Thursday that the tender for the completion of the new Girne state hospital has been launched.

Altuğra said that the government was working hard since the day it assumed office to provide the best health service to the public.

She added that the New Girne Hospital project was one of the urgent items in the financial cooperation protocol signed with Türkiye that needed to be brought to life.

Pointing out that the current public hospital was insufficient due to the city’s growing population; she said that citizens will have access to full healthcare once the new hospital is completed.
