Europe's first underwater restaurant opened in Norway.
Europe's first underwater restaurant, Under, has opened on the south coast of Norway. This restaurant, which was made of concrete on the water and immersed under water, took on a completely natural structure by being covered with reefs and algae and opened at the end of 3 years.
The restaurant was designed to fully integrate into the marine environment over time, as it was intended to support the rich biodiversity in the surrounding area. Europe's first underwater restaurant Under was developed in close collaboration with its owners and marine biologists.
Located in Lindesnes, where less salty water from the Baltic Sea meets the very salty Atlantic Ocean, the restaurant has a seafood-based menu.
