Jolie, who came to Pakistan on September 20 to help the people affected by the flood, met with the authorities at the National Flood Control and Coordination Center (NFRCC) in the capital, Islamabad.

UN Goodwill Ambassador and actress Angelina Jolie said that she had never seen such a disaster before, adding that countries that caused less damage to the environment experienced the heaviest of natural disasters and deaths.

Drawing her attention to the importance of humanitarian needs, Jolie called on the international community to do more for the flood-affected Pakistani people.

More than 1,500 people died and more than 33 million people were affected by the flood disasters caused by monsoon rains in Pakistan since 14 June.
