Humanoid robot Ameca can now blink, pucker, frown, and smile after upgrading his facial expression abilities.
Ameca, a product of UK-based Engineered Arts and touted as the world's most advanced humanoid robot, was previously seen in a video holding a researcher's hand as it entered his personal space.
Now the humanoid robot looks a little more human-like by gaining facial expressions.
Engineered Arts says on its website, “Specially designed to develop future robotic technologies, Ameca is an excellent humanoid robotics platform. We focus on providing you with innovative technologies that are reliable, modular, upgradeable and easy to develop.”
Ameca's latest update also attracted the attention of YouTube users and received a lot of comments. Users also compared Ameca to robot Sophia due to its similarity.
