Central Bank reserves amounted to 126.4 billion dollars

The total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey decreased by 2 billion 345 million dollars in the first week of 2023 compared to the previous week and decreased to 126 billion 410 million dollars.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Weekly Money and Bank Statistics has been published.

Accordingly, as of January 6, the gross foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 3 billion 244 million dollars to 79 billion 660 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 82 billion 904 million dollars on 30 December.

In the said period, gold reserves increased by 899 million dollars from 45 billion 851 million dollars to 46 billion 750 million dollars.

Thus, the Central Bank's total reserves decreased from 128 billion 755 million dollars to 126 billion 410 million dollars in the week of January 6, with a decrease of 2 billion 345 million dollars compared to the previous week.
