Ersin Tatar: I will continue to receive questions during my school visits

President Ersin Tatar was connected to the program called "One Headline" broadcast on Cyprus Post TV by phone.

Referring to the meeting he will hold today with UN Secretary-General's Special Representative Colin Stewart, Tatar said that the meeting was a preparation for his meeting with UN Deputy Secretary General Rosemary Di Carlo.

"WE WILL NOT GO TO OFFICIAL NEGOTIATIONS"

Emphasizing that "what we have to say is clear and unequivocal", Tatar noted that no matter how different the Greek Cypriot side may sound, they will not enter into official negotiations in terms of sovereign equality and equal national status.

Referring to the bi-communal works, Tatar underlined that technical works can have benefits both in the north and south of Cyprus. Tatar reminded the murder of Zehie Helin Ressur and stated that the studies may also have an effect on criminal events. Tatar said, “We had the person who killed our daughter returned here within an hour after she was killed.”

"THERE ARE THOSE WHO İNFECT POLİTİCS"

Referring to his recent school visits, Tatar said, “There are people who involve politics in my school visits. This is very wrong,” he said.

Stating that he told the students about Cyprus, the beauties of the TRNC, natural disasters and everything about the world, Tatar said that he answered all the questions with a smile and that his visits were taken to different areas. Expressing that he looks at his visits and the questions he receives from a good point of view, Tatar underlined that he will continue to receive questions during his school visits. Underlining that he will continue his school visits, Tatar stated that he will answer every question asked.

"PRESIDENT'S CAMPUS FOR EMPLOYEES"

Tatar also used the words about the Presidential Campus (kulliye) and stated that state projects depend on certain agreements. Tatar noted that there are those who say, "A palace is being built for Tatars," and that there is no such thing.

Tatar noted that the Presidential Campus is for employees. Continuing his evaluations about the complex, Tatar stated that the other most important leg of the project is the 400-decare national park.
