Stating that the initiative evaluated the efforts of the UN Secretary-General and the commitment of the Cypriot people to support their efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the Cyprus problem, the statement said, “The United Cyprus -Bi-Communal Peace Initiative has outlined its stance on ways in which the current impasse can be overcome and Rosemary Di Carlo' He sent a letter requesting to meet with him," the statement said.

Despite the negative political atmosphere, the statement expressed the opinion that the joint actions of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots at the social level are fundamental for progress, and in this context, on Monday, 20 March, at 8:00 PM, in Eleftheria square in the south of Nicosia, with the slogan "Unification in pain, united for our future".
