Minister of Public Works and Transport, Erhan Arıklı, stated that KIB-TEK has been experiencing problems for years and that AKSA was declared the scapegoat in this process, and said, "As you know, circles are doing their best to maintain the tulip order in KIB-TEK."
Minister of Public Works and Transport, Erhan Arıklı, was the guest of the program called "Morning Post", which was broadcast on Cyprus Post TV and prepared and presented by Gökhan Altıner.
Arıklı, who also served as the Minister of Economy and Energy in the past, spoke about the contract renewal discussions with AKSA.
“4-5 COMPANIES TURNED KIB-TEK INTO A FARM”
Noting that 4-5 companies have privatized the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) and turned it into a farm, Arıklı said, “These companies make the tenders as they wish, they prepare the specifications as they wish. They are literally sending KIB-TEK out with the tenders delivered to the address," he said.
Pointing out that AKSA meets 40 percent of the country's energy needs and Teknecik Power Plant meets 60 percent, Arıklı said, "While AKSA works with 35-40 people, there are more than 600 people in KIB'TEK." used.
