Turkish Political Alliances and Parties Secure Place on Ballot for Election
The order in which political parties and alliances will appear on the ballot for the 28th General Election of Members of Parliament on May 14th has been finalized in Turkey. The "People's Alliance," which consists of the BBP, AKP, Yeniden Refah Party, and MHP, is listed in the 6th position on the ballot. Meanwhile, the "Nation Alliance," made up of CHP and İYİ Party, is listed in the 15th position.
The High Election Council (YSK), which completed its examination of the participating parties and alliances, has finalized the order on the ballot for the upcoming election. Thus, the ballot order for the alliances and parties that were selected by lot on April 8th has changed.
As a result, the People's Alliance, consisting of the BBP, AKP, Yeniden Refah Party, and MHP, is listed in the 6th position on the ballot. The Nation Alliance, made up of CHP and İYİ Party, is listed in the 15th position. The "Ancestral Alliance," consisting of the Justice Party and Victory Party, shares the 16th position on the ballot.
The ballot begins with the "Nation Party" in the 1st position, followed by the "Rights and Freedoms Party" in the 2nd position, and the "Socialist Power Union Alliance," consisting of the Turkey Communist Party, Turkey Communist Movement, and Left Party, in the 3rd position. The Young Party is listed in the 4th position on the ballot, followed by the Homeland Party in the 5th position. The "Labor and Freedom Alliance," made up of the Green and Left Future Party and the Turkey Labor Party, is listed in the 7th position, followed by the Justice Unity Party in the 8th position, Anavatan Party in the 9th position, Innovation Party in the 10th position, People's Liberation Party in the 11th position, National Path Party in the 12th position, National Way Party in the 13th position, and the Power Unity Party in the 14th position.
The printing of the ballot papers has already begun. Recep Özel, the AK Party's representative to the High Election Council, announced on social media that "the ballot paper to be used in the 28th General Election of Members of Parliament on May 14th, 2023, has been approved by the YSK. The printing of ballot papers to be used in overseas elections has already begun, and the size of the ballot paper is one meter. Good luck."
