Internal conflict in Sudan leaves Cypriot Greek citizens stranded in their homes
According to reports, 23 Cypriot Greek citizens of Sudan's capital Khartoum are stranded in their homes due to the ongoing internal conflict in the country.
The Politis newspaper stated that four of the 23 individuals are citizens of the "Republic of Cyprus", and that it is currently highly dangerous for them to leave their homes. The authorities are reportedly examining all options to safely evacuate them to a secure location.
The report also stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Southern Cyprus has been in contact with European countries regarding the matter and is ready to implement the "ESTIA" National Plan to assist the stranded individuals.
