According to Fileleftheros newspaper, under the headline "Cold-blooded killing of a 35-year-old woman", Erkan Alkan, a 25-year-old Turkish political refugee, had allegedly agreed to be with the Ukrainian woman for 350 euros. Later, the woman was found dead.
The newspaper reported that the woman's friend, unable to reach her, went to the apartment and found her dead with her hands and feet bound, and a bath towel wrapped around her neck.
The police investigation reportedly revealed that the woman had struggled with Alkan before she died, with evidence of a broken nose, and bruises found on various parts of her body.
A nylon bag with plastic cable ties, as well as a watch and bag that are believed to belong to Alkan, were found at the scene, the newspaper reported.
