Academician Prof. Dr. Muhittin Tolga Özsağlam was connected to the program called "One Headline" broadcast on Cyprus Post TV by phone.

Starting his speech by evaluating the elections in Turkey, Özsağlam said that if the Nation Alliance Presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu wins, Turkey can get closer to the West.

Öz Sağlamlam, the Presidential candidate of the People's Alliance, stated that if the current President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, wins, the continuation of the multi-faceted foreign policy will be in question. "There are those who find the rapprochement with China dangerous," Özsalam said.

Using expressions about the Cyprus problem, Özsağlam pointed out that the Turkish Cypriot side made mistakes in foreign policies after Crans Montana. Öz Sağlam stated that there was a conflict in the leadership of Southern Cyprus in Crans Montana; but he said that after the mistakes made, it was forgotten.

ÖSalam said, “We have taken an approach that isolates ourselves from the international community. If I ask which foreign mission Mr. President met with, we will not remember. A new negotiation process may begin; It will be difficult, it will be difficult. As the Turkish Cypriot side, we need to leave by stipulating a schedule,” he said.

Saying that it would be difficult to start negotiations if the European Union (EU) and the Republic of Turkey do not get closer, Özsağlam said, "If the negotiations start, the parameters are clear."

Making a brief assessment about Covered Maraş, Özsağlam stated that the function of the Immovable Property Commission was clear and that function was brought to a position to be lost; “It will need revision. Including the Goodwill Tax,” he said.
