Weather to reach up to 34 degrees Celsius

The Meteorology Department has released its weekly weather forecast covering the period of May 13-19.

According to the forecast, the region will generally be under the influence of a low-pressure system and warm, relatively humid air mass during this period, with the highest temperature ranging from 27-30 ºC in the inland and coastal areas during the first few days, and around 31-34 ºC for the rest of the week.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds are expected to blow from the south and west directions.
