Turkey's propaganda ban begins today and will continue for 24 hours

Voting will begin at 8:00 a.m. throughout the country and end at 5:00 p.m. The election-day bans will apply from the morning hours onwards.

PROPAGANDA BAN STARTS TODAY

The propaganda ban, which will start at 6:00 p.m. today, will continue for 24 hours. Until the polling stations are closed tomorrow, no news or broadcast containing propaganda will be allowed.

Between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., the High Election Board's news and notifications regarding the election can be broadcasted.

After 9:00 p.m., all broadcasts will be allowed, but the High Election Board can move this time earlier if necessary.

ALCOHOL SALES BANNED UNTIL MIDNIGHT

Voting will begin at 8:00 a.m. throughout the country and end at 5:00 p.m. The election-day bans will also apply. Therefore, from 6:00 a.m. until midnight tomorrow, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited. In addition, all public entertainment places, including cafes and internet cafes, will be closed.

WEDDINGS ALLOWED AFTER 6:00 PM

Restaurants that have an entertainment venue status will only be able to serve food. Weddings will be allowed after 6:00 p.m. Except for those who are responsible for security and maintaining order in settlements, no one can carry weapons.
