YSK President Yener: Elections proceeding smoothly without problems
Ahmet Yener, the President of the High Election Board (YSK), has announced that the Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Turkey are proceeding smoothly without any problems.
After casting his vote at the Arjantin Primary School in the Çukurambar neighborhood, Yener expressed his well-wishes for Mother's Day and commemorated Zübeyde Hanım, the mother of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He also paid his respects to the mothers of martyrs and veterans.
Yener noted that May 14 is also celebrated as Democracy Day in Turkey and wished success to all presidential and parliamentary candidates and political parties participating in the elections.
Responding to a journalist's question regarding allegations of some ballots having Muharrem İnce's name crossed out, Yener stated that they were unable to confirm the validity of these claims. However, he reassured that necessary warnings and precautions have been sent to all polling station managers via SMS.
In conclusion, Yener expressed his hope for the continuation of a smooth and problem-free election process for the benefit of the Turkish people.
