According to the Fileleftheros newspaper, various countries have conveyed messages to the Republic of Cyprus suggesting that the most effective approach for Turkey's contribution to resuming negotiations on the Cyprus issue lies in the field of economy. The newspaper stated that the counterparts of the Greek Cypriot leadership have highlighted that economic incentives could unlock the entire process.

The newspaper also mentioned that in various European capitals, there is a prevailing view that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is in a leading position and is likely to win the elections. Additionally, the newspaper noted that regardless of the outcome of the elections in Turkey, there are assessments that prioritize the economy after the elections. This situation allows for moves to be made towards Ankara's direction that could contribute to the resumption of negotiations.

Highlighting the significance of Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides' meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his upcoming visit to Germany for further moves towards Ankara, the newspaper emphasized the important role that both Germany and the Netherlands can play in the efforts of the Republic of Cyprus to actively involve the European Union in the Cyprus issue.

Furthermore, the newspaper mentioned that the recent remarks by the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Cyprus, Colin Stewart, regarding imminent developments, and Germany's hope to see progress in the Cyprus issue within the next two months after the completion of elections in Turkey are not coincidental.
