Voting process begins in Northern Cyprus

Voters in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have started casting their votes today for the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey.

The voting process will be completed on May 24th. The Electoral Calendar prepared by the Supreme Electoral Council (YSK) for the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey will be followed. Voters will have the choice between the candidate of the People's Alliance and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the candidate of the Nation Alliance and the Leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. There will be no changes in the order of the ballot papers, which will be reprinted for the two candidates.

As in the first round of the presidential election, ballot boxes will be set up in three centers: Nicosia, Famagusta, and Morphou. Voters can cast their votes at any of these three centers.

Voting will take place for five days in Nicosia and Famagusta, while in Morphou, it will be for two days. The voting process began today at Atatürk Sports Hall in Nicosia and Lala Mustafa Paşa Sports Palace in Famagusta. Citizens can cast their votes at these locations until May 24th.

Furthermore, voting will take place today and tomorrow at Dr. Fazıl Küçük Sports Hall in Morphou.

In Nicosia and Famagusta, voting will be available from 08:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and weekends, while in Morphou, it will be from 09:00 AM to 09:00 PM.
