28 vehicles seized and one driver arrested

In a series of traffic operations carried out across the country on May 18, law enforcement officials inspected a total of 1,627 vehicles, resulting in the confiscation of 28 vehicles and the arrest of one driver. The Police Press Office released a statement providing details of the operations.

During the inspections, it was revealed that 145 drivers were exceeding the legal speed limit, 45 drivers were caught using their mobile phones while operating their vehicles, and 14 drivers were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, one driver was apprehended for driving without a valid license and insurance coverage.

As a consequence of these infractions, a total of 327 drivers were issued reports for various offenses. Furthermore, one driver was placed under arrest, and 28 vehicles were seized and banned from further usage on the roads.

The traffic operations, aimed at ensuring public safety and enforcing traffic regulations, serve as a reminder of the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to maintain road discipline and protect citizens from potential hazards.
