Over 1.1 Million Turkish Expatriates Cast Votes in Second Round of Presidential Election

According to the latest information from the Supreme Election Council (YSK), a total of 1,153,842 registered voters residing abroad have participated in the second round of the Turkish presidential election, which is scheduled to take place on May 28th.

Voting procedures for Turkish citizens living abroad began on Saturday at diplomatic missions and customs checkpoints, and they are still ongoing. As of now, 1,099,841 individuals have cast their votes at diplomatic missions, while 54,001 voters have exercised their right at customs checkpoints. The cumulative number of voters who have participated in the election stands at 1,153,842.

The voting process at diplomatic missions will conclude on May 24th, while voters at customs checkpoints will have until 5:00 PM on May 28th to cast their ballots.

These significant numbers reflect the active participation and engagement of Turkish expatriates in the democratic process, highlighting their commitment to shaping the future of their homeland.
