The initiative called the "Green Line Trade" has received coverage in a number of Cypriot newspapers.

The Haravgi newspaper led their coverage on the front and inside pages stating "EU Supports Strengthening Trade Across the Green Line - Information and Support Center for Trade Between Turkish Cypriots and Greeks to Start in October". Alithia, on the other hand, reported "Yesterday, the European Commission Announced an Initiative to Establish an Information and Support Center for Trade Between Turkish Cypriots and Greeks".

The Green Line Trade initiative is aimed at easing trade between the north and the south of Cyprus, and the creation of an information and support center for Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot businesses. This initiative is believed to help to boost the island's economy and bring the two communities closer together by enhancing trade relations.

The EU's commitment to this initiative signifies a positive step towards encouraging cooperation between the two communities on the island and is hoped to bring about lasting benefits for both sides.
