Traffic inspection across the country results in 3 driver arrests and 41 vehicles taken off the road
According to a recent statement from the Police Press Office, traffic inspections were carried out across the country on May 26th, resulting in checks on 1,651 drivers, with 312 drivers being reported for various traffic offenses.
Of those reported, 153 were found to be driving above the legal speed limit, 21 were under the influence of alcohol, six were driving without a license or insurance coverage.
The statement further noted that three drivers were arrested, and 41 vehicles were taken off the road for violating traffic laws. The inspections were aimed at improving traffic safety across the country, and the police have reiterated their commitment to enforcing the law and ensuring road safety for all drivers and pedestrians. Motorists are encouraged to obey traffic rules and regulations, as well as to practice safe driving habits to prevent accidents and keep the roads safe for everyone.
