Meteorology Department issues a warning about high ultraviolet radiation
The Meteorology Department has issued a warning today regarding high levels of ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It is advised to take precautions and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, particularly between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
In the official statement published on the Meteorology Department's website, it states, "Ultraviolet radiation is very high. It is necessary to avoid staying in the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking the necessary precautions."
In situations where ultraviolet radiation is classified as "very high," individuals who must venture outside are recommended to use basic protection measures such as wearing a hat and sunglasses. It is also advised to seek shade whenever possible and opt for pants and long-sleeved clothing for added protection.
Furthermore, when ultraviolet radiation levels are "very high," it is recommended to refrain from engaging in outdoor activities, including sports.
