Uniform Working Hours in the Public Sector Begin Today

Uniform working hours in the public sector have begun today. According to the new legal regulation, public sector employees will work 39 hours a week throughout the year.

Uniform Working Hours in the Public Sector Begin Today

In the uniform working hours arrangement, working hours are as follows:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 08:00-15:30
  • Thursdays: 08:00-12:30 and 13:00-17:30

For public institutions where shift and rotation systems are in place, working hours will be determined by the institutions while considering the weekly 39-hour limit.

In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), 35 hours of work were performed weekly during the summer working period and 40 hours during the winter working period.
